Mom hating name I chose

So my mom is making a fuss about what I want to name my possible daughter. (She claims she isn’t ) I’m naming my daughter saige Elizabeth why because I like the name. She says why I’m not honoring my grandmother. Well first off I am choosing to honor her in a different way and it doesn’t have to involve naming my child after her. I told if anyone has a problem with it then they can keep it moving ( really thinking they can fuck right off but I was being polite). I had that name picked before I even met my boyfriend. She’s like why not add your grandmother’s middle name and I’m like because I’m not doing the two middle names. She asked what other names I had. I’m like:

Ashley

Antoinette

Brielle

Cassidy

Simone

Penelope

She’s like thank god you didn’t choose Penelope. I’m like why? She said it’s an ugly name. She said that because of the movie Penelope. I told her that movie is about a woman who happens to have a pig nose but comes to accept herself as beautiful. I think the name Penelope is beautiful and if I have a second daughter I’ll name her Penelope. I don’t give a damn who likes it or not.
