Am I overreacting ?

I live in MI and I’m 17, turning 18 in November. I lost my last job at the end of June because of an emergency health problem and have been looking for work since healing from it. I got a job offer at Walmart three weeks ago and was excited because the pay will be a lot better there than my prior job.

When the manager was setting me up for my orientation, she said she’d need my birth certificate and a state ID. I told my parents straight away and they said they had it so my orientation was set for 4 days later. In those 4 days, I asked my mom if she knew she had them and she said she knew where they were. The morning of, she ended up telling me that she couldn’t find them and I had to call and cancel. I was really embarrassed and bummed out. That was 2 weeks ago.

Thankfully, my dad helped me to order my certificate and it came last Friday. Since then, I’ve been BEGGING my mom to take me to get my ID done and she acts annoyed that I’ve been asking. The first day she said “I’ll give you your social security card and you can get it done”. I asked her again today and she said “I thought you couldn’t do it anymore because you need them for that one day”. Which I know she knows isn’t true because I’ve told her that I could still work there as long as I get the documentations soon. She then tells me that they Somehow lost my social security card too 🤦🏼‍♀️ So I have to ask my dad to help me reorder that too.

I’ve been really upset by all of it because them being so relaxed in helping me makes me look bad. I don’t think I’m wrong for asking that they help me to reorder things that THEY lost so I can work. (Not to pay for it, just to enter in any of their info that I need to order it)
