Older siblings at hospital?

Are you going to have older siblings come to the hospital or wait until you’re sent home for them to meet?

My daughter is staying with me for everything but actual delivery and will be brought in to hold her brother first before anyone else is welcome in. 
She’s already packed her hospital bag and put it with mine. 
My niece stayed with me for my daughters labor. 
It’s nice having a pal. 😂
 
My daughter is my best friend, and I don’t hide much from her. She’ll be seven. I’m not having her in for delivery just because I don’t want her too worried when I’m in pain.

My daughter is going to come visit afterwards once we’re in recovery. She’ll the be the first, beside my husband to hold and see her brother. ❤️🥰

I don’t have any other children but during our hospital tour they said children under 2 aren’t allowed to visit! We recently had a measles outbreak in the town next to us so they don’t allow young kids in the maternity ward anymore. I just thought it was interesting.

My daughter will come into the room when everything is done and we plan to walk to the nursery together as a family and let her see the baby. They say it’s good to do this with the second child especially if she is having a hard time so she doesn’t feel like something happened without her

With my son my stepdaughter met him immediately and it was the sweetest thing ever. She had a bag of goldfish and thought he needed to eat so she tried to feed him. Obviously she wasn’t close enough to actually get him to eat it and we explained he can’t eat real food but it was still adorable. So I will be letting both her and her brother in the room once their new baby brother has been born.

My daughter wants to be there for the labor and delivery and she is 8 and if we decide on the vbac she will be there if we do the c section her and her brothers will be brought up after she is born

I have an 8 year old and he wants to be there for the whole thing. We’re not letting him come for the delivery but he’ll be one of the first family members to meet this baby at the hospital! He’s so excited already I couldn’t make him wait any longer to meet his brother.
