How do I ask my mom to start taking birth control?

Hey, I’m going to be 14 in a few months and I’m going into high school so I’ve wanted to talk to my mom about starting to take birth control pills. I’m most likely not going to be sexually active for a while but I would like to start for some of the other benefits of taking the pill. Here’s the catch, I’m scared my mom will say no and get mad and trust me less to do things thinking that I’m going to be having sex. If there are any mothers on this app can you tell me the best way to approach her about it so that she can either say yes or at least be open to thinking about it?
