I don't use bar soap anymore, but I did when I was a kid. I always lathered the soap in a wet wash cloth and then used to cloth to clean myself.

I lather the wash cloth. Even when I use a puff, the wash cloth is necessary for nether regions. Do y'all rub the soap down there? Just curious.

I put the soap on my loofah (body puff), rub it in, then bathe with the loofah

When I use to use bar soap I would just rub it in my body but use my hands for other areas. Now I just use a liquid body wash and use my hands or a loofah.
