My boyfriend doesn’t want to come to the gender reveal nor baby shower

I don’t really know how to feel. I have my gender reveal in 2 weeks and I’m not doing anything big as far as the party goes, I’m only doing a small cookout with family and family friends. I decided to go small for him, he doesn’t like to be around a lot of people and now he says he isn’t going to come to anything.

Has anyone been through this with their SO ?

Any advice?
