Hey everyone!

I’m 22 and I live at home- I was on birth control for PCOD for a couple of years before my mum encouraged me to get off it around four months ago bc she’s against putting medication/pills in your body. The pill DRASTICALLY changed my life and my acne completely cleared up and my periods were regular and now my acne is returning. I’ve done loads to try to keep the acne at bay but its just getting worse and I feel awful about the whole thing bc my acne has always been a big source of self consciousness for me.

Should I get back on the pill without telling my parents? I’ve tried to have a conversation with my mum but she isn’t keen to discuss the topic at all, and I’m worried that my GP may let slip to my mum that I’m taking the pill. The pill is expensive where I live, but I’d still be able to afford it with my own savings.
