My family is a little different because my mom adopted out of DHS custody so I have 3 adopted brothers and 1 adopted sister. All the boys have the same mom, they were a packaged deal. But another brother came later and my mom almost adopted him and his aunt stepped up and said “wait don’t adopt him. I want to adopt him but I have to wait until I’m 21.” So when she turned 21 she adopted him. They are close and he visits often.

It’s so funny introducing people to my family because the youngest looks exactly like his (or our brothers I guess) brothers, spitting image of them. I’ll explain my family and why there’s so many of us.

So when a 4th brother pops out they’re like “wait there’s another brother?”

“Oh technically that’s not my brother. Hes their brother. He’s more like a little cousin to me.”

People are always so confused 🤣🤣 I love it lmfao. I can’t wait to tell them about how I have an older sister that’s technically not related to me or legally my sister. She aged out before she could be adopted and calls our mom her mom and I call her sister and her kids my nephews. Just because we can. When someone is family, they’re your family 🤷‍♀️It’s great
