Is harper too popular of a name right now?

I don’t know anyone else with this name but it is listed as #9 on the baby name charts. Is it really that popular?

I looked it up on the social security website online and even though it’s number 9, that means that 0.5% of babies were named that in the United States in 2018. She probably wouldn’t have another Harper in her class, maybe in her graduating class.

I’ve met a few Harper’s (including my niece) but I love the name!

I worked in an elementary school for 5 years and still have never met a Harper! I say go for it!
