Hi ladies,

So log story short, I’ve had my dog since prior to meeting/moving in with/marrying my husband. She 8 years old and a good dog but can get spiteful sometimes but it’s not a regular occurrence. She’s super friendly and wants lots of love, pets and attention.

My husband apparently has never wanted animals in his house (although always grew up with them in his house) as he just see them as messes. He hates that her nails scratched the floor, that she sheds, that she smells (like a dog). He has constantly been saying how much the dog stresses him out and how angry she makes him by just her presence. The things he say upset me because she’s my first baby.

This morning, the dog had an accident on the rug and my husband flipped. Mad at me for not getting rid of the dog and caring more about the dog than his feelings. This conversation is nothing new though and I’m not sure what to do about it anymore

Any advice?
