My goal is 6 months to a year. I personally couldn’t nurse any longer. If my kid has teeth/ can eat real food and can say I’m hungry than I wouldn’t be comfortable nursing anymore. But this is how I feel for myself. What works for one family may not work for another. To each their own 💕

When you and your little one are ready. Personally (just me personally) I wouldn’t really want to go past age 2. That’s just a personal preference. But whenever you both are ready.

I wanted to stop at 6months, didn’t happen! So then I decided that I was going to stop at 12months, didn’t happen! So then I decided that I was going to stop at 18months, didn’t happen! We finally just weaned at 19months! 
Baby girl just wasn’t ready yet! But we have another baby coming in October and I wasn’t interested in tandem breastfeeding, so ready or not, it was time!

Dont be too hard on yourself about breastfeeding. Just do the best you can. Stressing will only make it worse. You will be super emotional after the baby is born and it's easy to get worked up about breastfeeding. I literally cried tears when my son was about a week old and I spilled about 2 oz of breastmilk I had just pumped. I went back to work when my son was 8 weeks and I was able to breastfeed until he was about 9 months.

Whenever you decide you’re ready. I weaned at 13 months because I found out I was pregnant and practically all but dried up.
