Also, I never mentioned electricity to her at all. So there’s nothing for her to feel bad about.

***** so I spoke to her again this morning. She claims it all started once she started watching crime shows. We also have been allowing her to waste our electricity and sleep with her lamp on the entire night (this hasn’t helped much at all).

She’s always had her own room and has slept in her room alone from the age of 3-ish. About 2 years ago she started doing everything to avoid sleeping in her room. For the most part she would if she’s allowed to fall asleep with her tv on. Recently she’s been sleeping on the floor in her grandparents room. Nothing traumatic has happened to her. I’ve asked. I’ve asked direct questions and she’s denied and looked at me like I was crazy. She claims she’s scared of the sounds and doesn’t know if someone will come in the house while everyone is Asleep. There’s an alarm system. She also has 2 older cousins who’ve been staying in separate rooms for the last few months. Their stay is new. She’s had this issue with sleeping in her room for about 2 years now. Advice ??
