I had a baby shower for my first - a girl. I went on to have two more girls over the following 6 years. Here I am with baby number 4 - a boy and my mom-in-law wants to have a shower. She said it's because the baby is a different gender and it's my fourth (she had two showers as well, one for her first and fourth baby as well). My sister-in-law had a baby boy and then just had a baby girl but didn't get two showers. So I'm feeling like it's not appropriate. Any thoughts everyone?
