What to tell work?

I recently started my first cycle of IVF and have had a bunch of appointments that I’ve had to cut out of work to go to. I’ve been telling work I have some medical stuff going on and they have been understanding so far. I’m a bit concerned about not being able to give a specific date for my egg retrieval. What approach has everyone taken throughout this process?

I told them the truth. Worked out fine.

I couldn’t have done this without telling my work what I was going through. Everyone has been super supportive and accommodating and they are all rooting for me. I do work in an office full of women, but nonetheless it’s a must to pet your work in on this, at the very least your boss.

I thought the anxiety of working up constant lies was going to be harder than telling my manager the truth. It was hard telling him but luckily afterwards he made it east for me. Good luck x

At first. I told my boss that I was having medial issues etc but my appointments have been getting out of hand and pretty crazy going in every 2-3 days and then retrieval coming up, so I just told my office manager the truth and she understood and gave me whatever time I needed and was very understanding!
