I’ve been wondering this for a while

Okay, so Im still in my teen years, and I’m a virgin, I’ve had my period since I was 10 but I’ve never been able to do a tampon, because of the fear of toxic shock syndrome, getting it stuck, and just overall putting plastic up my vagina. So am I never gonna be able to have sex if I can’t even put a tampon up there? Also know this is probably a stupid question, so I’m sorry if it is.
