My boyfriend and I have been discussing the whole "marriage" topic lately. We both know we want to be together forever, but he doesn't want to get legally married. He suggested that we just get "religiously married." I've always dreamed about my wedding day, so I definitely want at least a commitment ceremony. I grew up thinking I wanted the official title of "wife" and to take someone's last name, so do you think it's worth sacrificing this? Or should I spend more time trying to convince him to make it legal? We've only been together 8 months so we have plenty of time, but it's just something I want to be able to plan for. I wouldn't abandon the relationship for anything, just looking for advice on my current situation.
