Moving in before marriage?

I have been with my boyfriend for two years and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him and we are planning on getting married some day. We are in college and want to graduate before we get married but I still want to live with him in the mean time. My family does not approve and they say we will just be "playing house" and it's not the right way. What are your opinions and experiences?
