I started a new daycare and I saw through half a day. During story time the teacher doesn’t read to the kids. They put a book on tape and have one child hold the book and “flip” the page. The kids don’t know when to flip the page. I feel terrible that my daughter has to sit for 30 minutes around for circle time while the tape is going. There is another classroom doing the same thing so it is hard to hear. Is this standard practice now?
