When does baby hold head up on own?

Soooo i’m kinda freakin out. I’ve seen everyone else’s babies holding their head up already and doing things like that . My babies about to be 6 weeks old and she hates tummy time, only time she holds her head up by herself is when she’s on my chest but then she’ll just plop it right back down. When did your LO start holding their heads up??

My first held his head up from day 1. My second is 6 weeks old and doesn’t lift her head up during tummy time, she just falls asleep. (She does lift her head when on our shoulder or chest.) So I guess it differs.

Mine has since day 1, not for long though. Mine will be 6 weeks on thursday and she can hold hers up for over 5 minutes at a time. I would try and do more tummy time with her on your chest or carrying your baby around like you're burping her to have her look around and see if shell hold her head up that way. Tummy time doesnt have to be on a mat or something being on you counts. Maybe put a toy or mirror in front of her so she has encouragement to look up.

Our LO naturally wanted her head up right away but we did tummy time after 2 weeks.  She hated it at first but we would still put her down on a mat for a few minutes a day even while she cried.  It was hard to see her struggle but she got stronger each time.  Now at 9 weeks she can spend some time on her tummy content and has very good head control

My girl has been since day 1. She’s 5 weeks tomorrow and holds it up for a good few minutes. I can’t do tummy time with her on a mat because she just falls asleep she we do it on our chests to keep her at an incline, which seems to keep her awake.

Boo Bear been holding his head up since day but unfortunately I have a lazy baby so he holds it up when he gets ready. I am always holding him up on my chest so he gets plenty of tummy time. Babies do things when they want to.

My LO is 5 weeks and he holds his head up for a minute or two at a time when he feels like it lol. I do get on the ground and lay with him and my husband and I encourage him to turn to whichever side we’re on. I also agree with above, try holding your LO on your chest more, or sit them upright

My little girl HATES tummy time on the bed / play mat. 
Have you tried tummy time on your chest? She only picks up her head and moves it from left to right on my chest. Every time I put her on the bed she just stays completely still.
