What do you do when you’re being told by your OB that you’re not in a position to go back to work because of post partumdepression. I had a baby 7/26 and my doctor saw me for my postpartum checkup last week. She recommended I take off an additional two weeks AT LEAST. Well I tried to use disability I thought I could since my doctor could provide a letter however my company does not have disability. Only option is fmla. Problem is I won’t get paid. I really thought my husband would understand and be supportive especially since a DOCTOR is recommending I not return to work right now. But instead he goes if you’re not getting paid only choice is for you to go back to work. Can’t say I’m surprised sadly, he doesn’t have much of a heart. I guess I was thinking at least for me his wife, he’d care. If I have anxiety and depression he would rather me return to work like tang than figure something out so I can take off a few more weeks. Just horrible. And I have no idea how women take fmla and can afford it.
