First abdominal ultrasound?

Hey everyone! 
I am 5w6d pregnant with our rainbow baby. I never got far enough the first pregnancy to go to an ultrasound. I am wondering: when a person can go for their first abdominal ultrasound? How early would a fetal pole (or anything else like a yolk sack) be visible?

7-8 weeks you can start to see everything,  most Drs will see you between 8-10 weeks

I was able to see my baby with an abdominal ultrasound at 7 weeks. But for measurement purposes and determining exact gestational age, they did have to switch to a transvaginal ultrasound. But if you're just wondering about being able to see something abdominally, I would think you could see something at 7 weeks.

I actually had an abdominal scan at a little over 6 weeks...thought it was a little odd being with my first child I had transvaginal but did see the fetal heartbeat and hear it!

A yolk sac and fetal pole isnt visible until 6 to 7 weeks. Sometimes the dating is off and what we think we are isnt how far along we are. Thats how the dr scared me into thinking i was having a miscarriage my dates were off from my period and i knew exactly when it ended and when he measured the gestational sac i was actually earlier than what he measured. I went twoce and saw no heattbeat, got very nervous went back two days later and there was a heartbeat. Also when your that early itll be a transvaginal ultrasound, they tried doing abdominal on me at like 10 weeks and still couldnt see anything, im chubby and my uterus tilts back so i had another transvaginal ultrasound then too
