Some of you may remember I went to the hospital on 8/31 because of having regular contractions for about 2.5 hours. My blood pressure was kinda high while I was there, but I got sent home because the contractions stopped on their own.

Well yesterday morning I was at work and out of nowhere my vision changed. It was like all I could see was tv static out of the lower half of my eye and it seemed like it got darker. This lasted for about 10-15 minutes and then it went away on its own. After that I got this dull headache, so I called L&D and they told me to come in.

Once I got there they got me hooked up to monitors, checked my blood pressure, and repeated the labs they did on Saturday. Out of nowhere I started getting regular, painful contractions. On Saturday I wasn’t dilated at all and now I’m at 1.5cm. Blood pressure has stayed high and since I had that weird vision change they admitted me.

Currently doing a 24 hour urine collection so they have a better idea of if I have high levels of protein in my urine. Baby’s heart rate was dropping during the contractions so they kept me on the monitors all morning and all afternoon and I got another growth ultrasound.

Today I’m feeling better. Headache seems to have gone away. If all my labs keep coming back normal they are thinking of inducing me in 2 weeks (I’m currently 35 weeks today) because of the high blood pressure. If my labs aren’t normal then they will have to discuss other game plans.

I’m telling you ladies, everything in my pregnancy was normal until last week! Seems like my body just doesn’t want to be pregnant any longer. I hope my poor baby gets to stay inside for at least 2 more weeks! 🤞🏾
