Miscarriage and what happens after...

My wife and I just had a miscarriage our first together and I’ve had one at 16 weeks before she and I were together. This one was caused by Gastroschisis, which we learned after birth and we were 16 weeks along. I am not ready to start trying again yet and tbh my emotions are all out of whack but eventually we will try again, how soon after a miscarriage can you try again? I will follow up with my obgyn @ my 6 weeks post partum visit but I would love some insight from real ladies.

As for now, how do we get past this? I know it’s recent and we did give birth but I am emotionally struggling and mentally exhausted. What helps?
