Hey ladies I was wondering if any of you have gotten the mirena inserted after having a baby? If so how long have you bled for? I had my son August 7th and have been bleeding ever since and it got heavier after getting the IUD. Plz do answer if you can!

You can bleed after having a baby for 6-8 weeks sometimes a lil longer!!!! Give it time for your body to heal!!!!

I had the Mirena for a little over 4 years. I bled for about 6 weeks. Then every other month. Then after a year it stopped. But I would suggest you getting it removed. I had mine surgically removed due to it implantation. Now 3 years later I am struggling to have my second child.

I never had the Mirena (because I didn't want the nasty hormones), but twice I've had the ParaGuard. Each time I bled. A lot. The first time it was over a month and the second time just near a month. It sucked.

I got mine 8 weeks after my 2nd child and I only spotted for about 1 month after I got it but not always bad enough to wear a pad or tampon it was just a lil pink when I wiped after using the restroom then bad cramps off and on for about 3 months ... After that I had it for the first 5 years and never had a cycle
