I started developing HS at the age of 16. I have it in all the classic areas the doctors say its in except for my breast. My right armpit is better and is almost completely healed. Not sure how but I'm glad it is. I still have my other armpit, groin and butt area. I have to wear bandaids everyday to cover them since they leak all of the time. I was given Clindamycin and Reframpin to take and it started to work then I had to stop because I got pregnant (MC at 7 weeks). I was to by my dermatologist there is newer treatments for this condition. There is also a doctor at Duke University that specializes in only HS. I just want my places to heal and stop leaking. I'm buying bandaids way too much (about $20 to $50 a week or every 2 weeks depending on what I need). I know this condition isn't rare and a lot of people have it. Maybe they will find a cure for this one day.
