This is so weird, because me personally I don’t like space until the argument is resolved. My husband on the other hand is one of those who absolutely doesn’t talk until he’s done being upset about whatever it is we were arguing about..
It’s so infuriating that I just get the silent treatment when all I want to do is talk it out.. 
But I’ve learned to give him some space, but never more than an hour or so because he will choose to never talk about it again if I let it go longer than that...

If your partner wants space, then absolutely. (Within reason. I don't agree with disappearing for a day or stuff like that. An hour or so.)

Yes of course, its best to walk away then have your emotions get the best and have things escalate more than they should then afterwards you'll both be calm and can talk about it.
