When are you announcing your pregnancy?

So I’m wonder what you all plan on doing because when I went to my ultrasound we asked when is a good time to announce and our doctor said 12 weeks but now that I am doing more reading and tracking I’m noticing that the first trimester isn’t really over until week 13 starts. 
Just wanted to see and hear what all of your options are on telling everyone about your bun in the oven.

I am the complete opposite of everyone else I feel like. I hate the barrier that gets put up around miscarriages where women feel they need to hide it. I have had a Partial Molar Pregnancy Miscarriage and a chemical pregnancy. I am 100% open about our entire journey with everyone and have been giving updates through out. We just announced this week at 8 weeks after we heard the heartbeat of our newest blessing. Miscarriage or healthy this child is still my child and I want everyone to know it. 
I also hope me being so open about everything 
can help someone dealing with what I went through. A know a few people who sat hurting in silence because we are told before 12 weeks no one should know. I want to break down that barrier and let those people know it’s sometimes not easy and it’s ok. There are people here to help in the darkest of moments.

I plan on announcing around 20 weeks honestly. My work knows right now though but that’s only because I work with children at a Christian daycare and needed to put my baby on the waitlist ASAP.

I feel weird about announcing.. I have a few girlfriends with fertility issues and I know it can be hard for some women you hear pregnancy announcements.
I have one girlfriend in particular who's really having a hard time right now with IVF and I'm dreading telling her.

The most important people (mom, best friends,...) and my close colleagues who see me every day know. I told them right after I got a positive test. Was absolutely not in the mood for lying and hiding, and I want to talk about, want to ask questions, want to ask for advice,... Next week I have my ultrasound at 8 weeks. When all is well, I will tell my brother and my boyfriend will tel his dad (his mom already knows). I would also go to my father’s grave. A few weeks later, we’ll tell my boyfriend’s brother and sisters. Think we’ll be telling our grandparents too, but that’s about it. 
I’m not planning on announcing it to the world. Not in the mood for the explosion of attention, to be honest. People will tell other people, and eventually they’ll see my belly grow. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We arent telling anyone until after we figure out the gender. Our plan is at our wedding in November. We told everyone in April 2019 when we first found out and we miscarried so we dont want to get everyones hopes up again just in case. Im terrible at keeping secrets so we are basically doing our best to avoid family right now 😂😂😂

I had to tell my coworkers and my husband had to tell his boss because I've had to leave early and run to the clinic so many times with spotting and bleeding. We told his parents at 6 weeks. Part of me wants to tell my family after Thanksgiving, part of me wants to tell my parents on Sunday because it's Grandparents Day. But I just had another scare yesterday, so I'm not sure it's worth letting them know.

Im not announcing. Im in the middle of a divorce and he wants nothing to do with me or the baby just our first kid. Doesnt even want his family to know.

Had a miscarriage last time (pregnancy #3) and super scared this time around. I’m not announcing until 4 months or more. With my first two I announced at three months. The miscarriage has made me so nervous this time and I honestly don’t want the entire world to know in case of worst case scenario, God forbid. It’s really annoying having to talk about it to the small group of people that did know about my miscarriage. Would’ve hated if I had announced and had to discuss it with so many more people, have everyone ask questions, give me sympathy looks, etc. No thanks.
