Invalid/defect Walgreens test?!! This is a bit crazy

So, I took a Walgreens early response test this morning and posted the pic- it looked like a vvfl. (11-12 DPO). I even posted a poll about it with the pic and got congrats because it was visible! Then, this afternoon I retook the test (same brand) and it’s haaaaaaaardly visible- pretty negative if you ask me. I looked more closely at the test I took this morning and noticed a) the test holder itself was a little dirty and b) the part you pee on hardly even fits in the cap, it’s longer than the other one?? I posted pic below. The one of left is this Morning’s one and the one on right is this afternoon. Was it a defect test???? Ugh it gave me hope ALL day today.
