I’m a subject in the VeraCept study
Hey guys so I’m new. I joined this IUD study because I didn’t do very well on the pill and using condoms get expensive. They’re ending the study because they’ve found all they need to know, but I want to know from you guys if it’s normal to get “fiber-like” strings of bright red blood before your period starts. I know I saw these small collections of coagulated blood soon after I got the IUD, so I came to the conclusion that the insertion disrupted some parts of the collected blood against my uterine walls. But this is my 4 month on it and I saw them again accompanied with some unexpected cramps. (Mild). I’m not too sure if this is my period (it’s not due for another week) or if I should just go see my doctor.
