Doctor said to ignore temps

Hi all! Has anyone else had heir doctor tell them to ignore their temps and just go off of your opk results? Mine kind of breezed thru my charts quickly before saying my temps were "obviously" not right and to ignore them. She's basing this off pretty much one month where my temp didn't rise until 6 days after my positive opk, and she is saying the opk was when I ovulated, not when my temp rose. I am so confused because everything I've read said that temp is the only way to know for sure when you've ovulated. Any insight?
