I was on depo for about 9 months and stopped because I had a very awful pain in my sides and stomach for a whole week which eventually stopped. I hadn’t been having sex or doing anything that would cause that sort of pain so of course I assumed it was depo. I waited about two months after I got my period after getting off of depo and got my last shot I was supposed to take August 12th. On August 9 I started my period but it ended the next day and since that had never happened to me before I got scared and took a pregnancy test August 14th and when it came back negative, I took another one a week later; which also came back negative. It’s now September 5th, and since before I got on depo a year ago I would get my period every two weeks and now I’m getting them normally; I got this app again to know when I’m supposed to be getting my period which is two days from now. I keep getting anxious because Ive been having cramps and weird side pain for the past month even though I took two tests, and since I’d never had a two day period it kinda freaked me out. The period wasn’t light at all, I’d say it was actually a lot heavier than normal for me and my cramps were awful as they usually are which is why I got on depo in the first place. The only reason I got on my last shot was so I wouldn’t get worried about getting pregnant because I would have anxiety attacks because of it because I’m turning 18 this year and even though some may say that’s an ok age to have a baby at; my parents definitely wouldn’t agree and I’ve been told I would get kicked out of the house if I was pregnant. I’ve asked several friends if they’ve had a two day period, and of course I even looked it up, and they all say they had but they’re all also on birth control, and I wasn’t on birth control when I had my two day period. Since I used to have a period every two weeks I would never worry that long when I had a pregnancy scare but waiting a whole month has blown me into a huge anxiety spiral that I can’t seem to get out of. I’m not having any pregnancy symptoms but I’m not sure if I even would around this time anyways since I’m obviously not an expert about pregnancy lol. Have any of you gotten on the shot and it stopped your period the first month or even three months you’ve taken it? I’ve heard thats not supposed to happen but I believe that happened to me when I got on depo the first time. Any advice would help really, and knowing my period is supposed to start in two days makes me feel like I’m overreacting because I haven’t exactly missed a period yet or anything.

also, I’m pretty sure I have a UTI and I haven’t been to the doctor for it, smart I know, but I believe it’s getting worse and that’s why I’m having cramps and random pain in my abdomen and sides. Another reason I’m scared about getting my period is that I’m scared it’ll come late or I’ll miss it completely because I’m so stressed out about it, also because I read that the bacteria associated with a UTI is a “stressor” on the body and I’m just a complete wreck 🤦🏻‍♀️
