Does anybody know if humidifiers are safe for newborns? I’m debating wether or not I should get one for the fall/ winter time

Yes they're safe. If you get a warm one you obviously just want it out of reach.

I use one because the heat makes everything so dry in winter.  Make sure it has a good filter or is ultrasonic and I’d recommend something that lets you know the room humidity so it doesn’t get too humid and encourage mold.

My respiratory therapist family member cautions against them as they aerosilate (sp?)   bacteria and germs. Basically they cause your baby to breathe more of that junk in than they were already. However, sometimes that's better than them not having a humidifier (they're already sick, etc)

We used one for our baby. Just make sure to keep it clean. Ours can use these little Vicks pads too if baby gets sick which I love. Can't remember if there's a minimum age for that though so if you plan on using them make sure you read the box.
