I took depo for a year straight then got on birth control pills then I switched back to depo for 3 months and decided to get off it. It’s been about 2 1/2 - 3 months since I’ve been on birth control and me and my boyfriend have KINDA been trying to have a kid. But not really just because I’m confused on how this works. Does my period have to return completely before I am able to conceive? Honestly I didn’t do much research when I began the shot and I don’t understand how pregnancy after the shot works or how it even prevent pregnancy (terrible I know). Before my boyfriend left a couple days ago to Arizona for 3 months, we tried one more time. I mean I’m 99% sure it’s not gonna work, but I would appreciate if someone could explain how pregnancy after depo could happen. I do need a period, correct?
