We got our daughter a training toilet when she was about two. She liked it, would sit on it but would never pee in it.

Anyway, fast forward to now and we are trying like hell to potty train her. We just started, and today is her first day of no diapers, just underwear all day. We have been trying the 30 minutes and then she has to sit down. Anyway, I swear about 5-10 minutes after she has sat on the toilet for a bit with no peeing, she has an accident. Only then will she tell me she peed, cuz obviously she feels it in her underwear. But I’m losing my mind trying to figure out how often to take her.

I’ll add that she doesn’t know when she has to go.

UPDATE:

Ok, I lost my mind too soon. Lol by the third day she wasn’t having anymore accidents and could distinguish the feeling of having to go potty. So far, day 10, she knows when she has to go and will sometimes vocalize it if she’s in the mood. Otherwise she will look at me and doesn’t say anything and I have to ask and she’ll say yes and go. So working on her vocal skills and just going when she has to go. So I am very pleasantly surprised at how quickly she is getting it.
