2nd+ time mommies... did/do you take your child(ren) to your 1st ultrasound?

I’m pregnant with baby #2 & currently have an almost 20-month-old daughter. My first prenatal appointment includes an ultrasound & I would really like my daughter to come with so she can see her new baby brother or sister. 
Did you take your kids with you?

Yup he’s gone to every appointment cause no one can watch him lol. He’s very well behaved so the office allowed him to go.

My 23 month old went. We kept him in a stroller and he watched videos on my phone for most of it, so he wasn’t a nuisance to the technician. My husband was also there, though. He had no clue what was on the ultrasound though or even what was going on. We showed him the print outs, and I’m sure they just look like black and white nonsense to him.

I only take my son (age 2) to apts if hubby is there to watch him. He gets very protective of me and screams and cries bloody murder when the doctor touches me. It's cute, but I don't want to traumatize the poor guy, lol, and I wouldn't be able to console him or anything if hubby wasn't there to calm him down.

And I was also worried something would be wrong and my son would have to see me have a breakdown.

No. I had my sister watch him and me and my fiancé went. With my 20 week ultrasound I had him come so he could see his little brother. With the first it doesn’t even look like a baby so it might just be confusing.

My 20 month old comes to all of them because I stay home to take care of her, my 7 year old comes whenever she doneat have school or somewhere else.

My daughter was 4 and she was very excited. I wasn't going to leave her out cause she loved hearing her brother and my midwife even let her hold the instrument to listen to her little brother.

Yep, I brought my 2yo son. My husband also came-- I probably wouldn't have brought him alone in case he made the u/s difficult.
