Venting

I just needed a moment to vent about something that happened over the last couple days and you mamas seemed like the best option.

Yesterday we went to the museum and out to lunch with out bestie and a couple of her other friends. At lunch my child got a little fussy because it was past nap time. She cried a little bit and then did a little squeal. I corrected her behavior by letting her know that it wasnt how we act in public. My bestie, who we go out with a lot, also knows that this is unusual behavior unless my kiddo is just extremely tired. The other mom, who my kid has been around a total of 2 times including yesterday, kept looking at me in a weird way but I just brushed it off. Today bestie and her went horseback riding so I watched besties baby for her. When she got back to her house after the ride she said you will never guess what ~Jane~ said on our ride. Not knowing what yo expect I said tell me. She then proceeded to tell me that the other mom told her that she was ready to reach across the table and pop my child in the mouth for how she was acting. First off shes not even 2. She isnt going to act like an angel every single time we go somewhere and secondly who is Gods name says they want to pop a 2 year old for acting their age! This mom is older than me and bestie but her baby is only 7 months old. She told us that she only changes his diaper 5 times a day and had to set a timer on her phone to remind her to do so and they sleep trained this kid at 2 weeks old. He doesnt get hardly any attention at all so he is used to being by himself. After she said what was said she proceeded to tell my bestie that her baby was the best behaved at lunch. Am I in the wrong for being pissed off about this comment? Like I feel like this woman doesnt know me well enough it to even make comments like that about my toddler.

Rant over
