So yesterday I lost my mucus plug and started to contract. No blood, no hush of fluids, no severe severe pain. I called the doctors a few hours after the contractions wouldn’t stop and they confirmed it was my mucus plug and to just watch my contractions. So guess what?! I did. I watched it and had my back contractions get worse and then the front ones started to get worse. I went home cleaned up what needed to be cleaned and once I was done I downed a bunch of water to just be positive it was contractions. I called my husband to tell him I felt like crying over my back pain so he left work and we went to the hospital. They confirmed contractions and a ton of irritability between them. They decided to hook me to an IV and during that time I almost blacked out. Got the iv and contractions stayed and irritability went away. So I’m thinking maybe just maybe they’ll admit me but my cervix didn’t want to move open or move at all! So she goes to call the doctor and they decide to send me home. I’m contracting so much and they are painful. I woke up last night every time a contractions would hit. I kept water next to me all night but no active labor apparently. Which I get is great because you want baby in as long as possible but why am I contracting without cervical movement and why won’t anything get rid of it? It’s just frustrating.
