I’ve been friends with this guy for about 3 years now, we met at college. We finished college last year and since then we haven’t hanged out, he moved to another city and we just never found a good time. We’re really open with each other, like we joke around calling each other a twat and an asshole, all that 😂 I also know he likes me, we’ve talked about it and talked about us two hooking up a few times, exchanged pictures but nothing actually happened between us. He said he’d regret it if he did it because he knew it would only be a friends with benefits kind of thing to me when he actually wanted to date so we just left it all together and continued being mates like nothing happened. Three months ago I got a boyfriend, I’ve told him about this friend of mine and he said he doesn’t care if we’ve had a past as long as it won’t affect us now.

Well, long story short we were supposed to meet last week. Even before getting with my boyfriend we said we’d go to the cinema when a good film comes out, and he asked if I wanted to go last week. I said yeah, I told my mum about it as I still live with her ane she said we could go for a coffee or something instead so we can have a proper catch up since we haven’t seen each other in over a year. I told him that, I only suggested it. I didn’t say let’s go for a coffee instead, I said we could go or we can go to watch the film, I didn’t mind either way. And that’s when he got pissed off at me. He said why, cause your mum said and I was like no, it’s just a suggestion it’s up to you. Then he said why then cause it’s quicker? if you can’t be arsed just say I won’t take it the wrong way and I was so confused like if I couldn’t be bothered meeting him I would’ve just said it, I only made a suggestion but I said we could just go to the film as we planned. To which he said nvm leave it then he didn’t reply after so I haven’t talked to him since. It’s been a week and although we don’t talk everyday, we always send each other memes and stuff on instagram, but he hasn’t sent me any since. Was I in the wrong? I just don’t get why he got so pissed off with me when I only came up with an idea. He’s never done that before so it’s really strange, to me it’s just childish to be fair but don’t know if I should reach out or just leave it
