Bleeding ear after tubes?

Any parents of kids experience this? My daughter had tubes put in her ears on Thursday, and this morning she woke up like this (actually a little worse, I cleaned around the outside, not inside obviously, took this pic after). I called the nurse line and they said it can be normal, and to just watch it. Her discharge paperwork says to expect a small amount of pink or brown tinged drainage, but this seems like way more than that. Shes not in pain, but says it feels a little plugged.

I know I already talked to the nurse and she told me to just watch it, but I just want to see if anyone else experienced anything like this? Just makes me nervous.

The other ear is fine, no drainage at all.
