So I've had a copper IUD for about 2 years now, and although I had severe cramping and irregular periods for the first few months my period eventually settled and went back to being relatively normal. I've always had variations in my period, it's never come the same time each month, but in the past year I've noticed it getting farther and farther apart. This last period I had came after 7 weeks, which feels like way too long, and now I'm at week 6 again stressing out about if it's going to come or not.

Is this normal? Does anyone else experience much farther apart periods with the copper IUD? I keep getting pregnancy scares lately because my periods are so far apart now. Is there any other reason that my period might be getting farther apart like this?
