Pacifier thermometers?

Wondering if anyone has had any experiences with the pacifier thermometers, or what doctors have said?

I had one when I had my first. (Shes 12) her dr said it's not very accurate unless they haven't had anything to drink at least 10 minutes before and don't open their mouth. My daughter stoped taking a pacifier around 4 months so she refused to take it. It took forever!!!! 
With my 13 month old I got a forehead/ear thermometer and have used a rectal thermometer, they are both more accurate, way faster, and easier for us.

Or just get one that take 1sec in the ear, works brilliantly when they are small and/or asleep.

I don't think it's very correct. I wouldn't use one.

I have this and I hate it. It is so slow, takes a few minutes before it tells you the temp. My daughter also never took a pacifier which made it even harder to use this.
