My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 2 years. Within the first few years we were together when we would go on dates we would alternate who’s car we drive. However lately he will only want to go in my car because it’s more economic and uses less gas than his sports car. Now my boyfriend has 2 cars. 1 is a sports car and the other is his daily driver which doesn’t have a working passenger seatbelt. The problem isn’t that we go in my car every weekend but it’s the fact that he doesn’t help out with gas. When I bring up the fact that I feel he should help it turns into an argument. He never wants to drive his sports car because it uses a lot of gas. I’ve been trying to be considerate because he has a longer commute to work than I do but it’s starting to really annoy me. Am I wrong for telling him to help with gas? If now how should I go about telling him to help without arguing?
