I bought a figurine for my SO for Christmas (I like to do that shopping early), but it arrived late because Hurricane Dorian delayed shipping. When it arrived, the bottom of the box was damaged (torn in two places), but everything else looked fine. For the other two figurines my SO has, he took them right out of their boxes and put them on display (I’m not even sure if he kept the boxes), so I figured the box condition didn’t matter that much.

Nevertheless, I spent a good two hours (?) late last night/early this morning gluing the tears back together and re-securing the bottom of the box so the figurine wouldn’t fall out the minute it was picked up. I used Q-tips to apply the liquid glue and to remove the excess. The tears are still noticeable, but it’s not nearly as bad as it was.

I was telling my mom about it this morning (since she’s my confidante—as much as I dislike it), but she didn’t seem too thrilled. I really want to tell my SO (since he IS my confidante), but since it’s his Christmas present, I can’t get into details (especially because I’m still worried about how it’ll sound).

I just wanted to tell someone.
