Natural birth control?

Question

Can anyone give advice for natural birth control methods (other than condoms/pull out)? 
Do you just track your ovulation? Is there more to it? 
I tried to get a non hormonal IUD. Didn’t work. So i thought about getting back on the pill but... the side affects. So bad. 
I dont know. I know my husband is so tired of condoms and so am I. But goodness. I dont know what to do. I want fun sex and no condom but I also don’t want to be pregnant just yet and I also don’t want to take hormones.

Try the Today Sponge and read the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility to learn how to chart temperatures and figure out your ovulation cycle.  I have the same issues. I’ve tried a ton of different hormone based birth control and all give me bad side effects - mainly they turn me into a psychopath. I used the sponge for years while tracking my cycle before we tried to get pregnant and never had any issues. It’s the best option I’ve found (although not the cheapest).

Maybe look into a diaphragm. That’s what my midwife recommended for me when I didn’t want hormonal bc. I didn’t end up going that route because we decided we were okay with just pulling out and will be fine if we get pregnant again.

What happened when you took non hormonal iud?

Maybe the hormonal IUD would be better? The hormones stay localized to your uterus to there’s a very small chance that you’ll feel any side effects because of that. 
Maybe the cervical cap/diaphragm would be a good option as those are hormone free as well. 
I also hear people have success with basal body temp, but I don’t know much about it.
