As long as it is placed properly, there’s a less than 1% chance of it migrating. The hormonal iud has the highest user satisfaction rate among all birth control methods. Everyone experiences side effects differently so I can’t say whether you’d like how it treats you, but I can personally say I have no issues or complications. I don’t have to worry about medication interactions or taking it properly or changing times, etc. The pill is a great and reliable method when used properly (as I did for 2+ years), but there’s also a lot of room for error which can lead to trouble. Take your time to research things on trusted websites and talk to your doctor.

I did research for a while and I read that there was waaaaaay more risks involved with IUDs such as infertility, misplacent or moving around and making it ineffective resulting in pregnancy, potential muscle complication when removing them, increase in ovarian cysts (they claim MOST disappear on their own). The pill, as long as you take it every day, actually can prevent cysts from forming, reduce PMS symptoms, and make cycles regular....
Frankly....pill offers more options so you get the effect you want from it. it's easier to change medication if you have a side effects such as increased acne, then if you have an adverse effect with an IUD.
