What are your baby registry essentials?

Question

So I’m currently 5w1d due May 12th! Fiancé and I are super excited about bringing this little baby bean into our life❤️ 
We’ve already started looking and researching cribs, strollers and car seats. But I’m kinda lost on the little stuff!  I plan on breast feeding but still want to know best bottles and all that jazz
Mamas- what were your essentials? Like toys, teethers, pacifiers- etc. 
This is our first baby, clearly😂, and we just wanna make sure we’re doing our best!!

There isn't a bottle that's the best, babies tend to like different things. So don't get a bunch of one type before trying. Reading up on pace feeding is important if you are planning to breastfeed. 
Also for stroller, find out what YOU need it to do, doesn't help if your friend loved this or that if your needs are opposite. Nor does it help if you got a crazy low price, if it doesn't work how you need.  Its also a good idea to have a bassinet for the stroller, way better for babys back, especially if you know that you will be out walking etc.

Haakaa (literally a lifesaver. Literally. Not kidding)
DockATot (I’m blessed with a good sleeper and she loves it but I think she’d sleep without it too)
Owlet smart sock (I sleep soundly knowing it’s watching my baby for me)
Baby Aquafor
Ollie world swaddle
Bibs pacifiers
Angel care tub
Portable sound machine (my baby hates the car seat and the white noise in her car seat helps immensely)
Regular sound machine for sleeping
Binxy baby shopping cart hammock (see the comment about car seat hatred above 😂)

I’d recommend adding a decent breast pump to your registry. I’d planned to breastfeed, but had one on my registry for when I went back to work. My babe did not take well to breastfeeding so we have been exclusively pumping. It was really nice to already have a pump on hand and not have to worry about going out and purchasing one in those first few sleep deprived weeks. 
And if it looks like you won’t have the same issues we had with breastfeeding, you can always return it (so long as you haven’t opened it)!

Mam bottles (put different brands on your registry to try - my son loves Mam but my niece won’t use them!)
Baby KTan wrap
Lillebaby carrier
Jujube BRB diaper bag
Dekor Plus diaper pail
Ollie World swaddle (it’s one size so you don’t have to buy more than one)
Comotomo silicone teether (really the only teether my son actually seems to like)
Aden and Anais burpy bibs (my favorite burp cloths and also great to put on as a bib over carseat straps to protect the seat from spit up)
California Baby skin care products (shampoo, lotion, sunscreen, etc - I got a sample pack and have loved everything I’ve used from it so far) 
Baby Aquaphor (for diaper rash or any skin issues)
Boudreaux’s butt paste

Check out Lucie’s List blog for registry items. She compares the harder to figure out items like car seats and strollers. Things I use the most that we registered for:  Burts Bees burp cloths & bibs, Pottery Barn Kids hooded towel and wash cloths (white ones with gingham trim), Boone baby tub, Diapers (get size 1 to start with, you may need newborns or your baby may be big enough for 1s immediately), wipes, Aquaphor gift set with baby wash, diaper cream, lotion etc, Mylicon (gas drops - we go through it quick), dock a tot (get an extra cover for when baby spits up and you have to wash it), Muslin blankets, swaddles (every baby ldoes better with one over another so register for a couple different ones), Baby Ktan wrap carrier

Honestly you can put so many things on the registry, people will just buy you clothes.
True essentials:
Car seat
Diapers
Wipes
Swaddle blanket or swaddle with velcro (velcro is easier in middle of night)
Diaper cream
Crib sheets / bassinet sheets
Mattress protector
Bottles (put individual bottles of a bunch of different brands so you can try them out and see which one LO takes)
They really don't need much
