Allergic reaction!?

Question

So the past week my face looks like this when I get out of the shower. I've never had this happen before, but what i dont understand is that i haven't changed anything i use on my face or anything in the shower. Could it possibly be something else!? Helppppp please, thanks in adance!

Even if you haven't changed any products you use, your body chemistry can change at anytime. 4 years ago I got a rash on my face and went to many different doctors before finally ending up at an allergist. They did a patch test and ultimately determined that I was allergic to fragrance and formaldehyde BAM! out if nowhere!! I had to switch EVERYTHING I was using...shampoo, conditioner, face wash, moisturizer, make up... I never realized that there is fragrance in basically everything. Unfortunately these things can creep up...you can become allergic to anything anytime 😕 Good luck!!

If it's hives it could be a reaction to the hot water. It's possible to have these reactions with the various changes in hormones we have when we're pregnant. I'd try only using Luke warm or slightly cool water instead and see if that makes a difference.

I've been dealing with hives with an unknown cause my entire pregnancy so far and I find Aveeno baby lotion is really soothing on my skin (it's hypoallergenic, has oatmeal and is scent free)and when it was really itchy I was being told to take Benadryl. My hives have been pretty severe though and I'm now on prescription antihistamines but if you need any tips or tricks to soothe them or bring down any swelling I'm pretty well versed on it all now Lol
