When do you say you’re X Months pregnant.

So my SO and I have been going back and forth on when I would say I am 6 months pregnant. 
For example, I’ll be 22 weeks tomorrow and that is the start of the 6th month of pregnancy. So do I tell people I’m 6 months pregnant or do I say 5 months because I’ve finished five months of pregnancy?

For example when a baby is 13 months old they aren’t 2 years old even though they’re in their second year. They’re 1

I just stick to saying it in weeks. Makes it way easier lol

This is from one of my apps. If the week falls in that month then that's how many months I am. For example, the day I turn 22weeks I will say I'm 6 months pregnant.

On a side note I say months for older folks and kids and weeks for people in between because it seems to confused the older folks in my life when I tell them weeks. For most people I just say weeks.

if they’ve been pregnant before i’ll say the weeks, if they haven’t ill say “just starting 6 months” or “at the end of 5 months”

My due date is Jan 12th, so I say Sept 12th is the 5 month mark, oct 12 is 6 months, etc.... makes it easier than counting weeks 😂

I think it depends. People who don’t have kids or who haven’t had kids in years might forget what how many weeks translates to. I usually tell people what week I’m at then say which month that roughly equates at. If I’m in a rush in a passing conversation I just say the month. There isn’t really a set time to say which month you’re at, considering doctors never talk in months, always weeks.

I say weeks until they look confused, then I explain there is 40 weeks total...that usually clears it up for them. I'm not keeping track of the months. They go too slow. I'll feel like I've been pregnant for 90 months 😂
