I feel the same way. I went to Disneyland a week after my miscarriage in March. First of all, there were pregnant women everywhere. There was even a woman wearing the shirt I had intended to wear to announce my pregnancy at Disneyland. At California Adventure there is a building that plays songs from Disney movies with beautiful scenes from the movie. When I was there they played Baby of Mine from Dumbo and holding myself together was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.
Dumbo and miscarriage
After my miscarriage the movie dumbo became very close to my heart. The beginning part with the storks seemed very symbolic of miscarriage and trying to conceive. I really felt for mrs Jumbo in this scene in particular as the storks delivered babies to everyone except her. You see her excitement of thinking she’s getting a baby, and the basket flying away, followed by her feeling of hopelessness. Maybe I’m crazy, but it reminds me of my experience.
