Fear?

I'm constantly thinking of whether I get a epidural or not. I don't know if I want to feel everything but I also fear ripping down there. 
I just dont know.....

I always say you don’t have to decide until you’re in labor you don’t have to make a decision now

I’ve given birth vaginally 5 times and I’ve had epidural and I haven’t 
I’m now pregnant with baby 6 and not making any decisions till I’m in actual labour 
Wait and see how labour goes and then make the decision

You can go in with an open mind and always get one when you want!
My first I did not get one. Labor was fast. I did tear but did not feel that... the contractions were painful for me.
This time I am going in with the same thing in mind, not getting it to start but absolutely no shame if I change my mind or if labor is longer!!

I’m try not getting an epidural but I have medical reasons not to. There is no shame in getting an epidural if you need or want one. Epidurals are great to reduce pain and people can tear with or without an epidural.

I was dead set on NOT having one with my second baby, I did just fine without it the first time however I quickly changed my mind after contracting for 4 hours straight and no change in dilation. I plan on rolling with the punches this time too

I went in thinking i would wait. But i was induced with pitocin and when they broke my water the pain was just too much. I got the epidural, im really glad i did but when i was pushing i did end up feeling myself tear because the epidural became disconnected while pushing so i felt some of it (im sure not the full extent of the pain). I plan on getting it again though

With my first child. I was begginh got an epidural for 4 hours, and i didnt get one in the end because her head was approaching. So i ended up having a natural birth. I did have a 2nd degree tear for pushing too much before being told to push. But when i give birth again i will also be having a natural birth again. Or maybe pethadine. But you wont really know what you feel you need untill your in labour. Birthing plans very rarely go to plan.
